Happy Friday, my STalk family!

I hope you have something enjoyable planned for the weekend. WIll you be viewing the Fall colors? Some of you may plan to take advantage of Daylight Savings Time "falling back" to sleep in an extra hour!

DH and I are in limbo. We don't yet know if PigPen working his PT job tomorrow or not, so we don't yet know if he'll be here this tomorrow. If NOT, there's a ton WWI & The Copper Country stuff going on this weekend. DH is a YUGE history buff, so this is right up his alley. PP would be bored stupid. If PP comes over, they'll likely go fishing. ~yawn~

Things *I* plan to do this weekend:

take a sleeping pill tonight to try and get some much needed rest
get outside tomorrow and enjoy the beautiful weather (temps 40s are a still little warm, but I'll manage). If PP is here, I will definitely hop into my car and go SOMEWHERE.
Make a pot of chili or ham & beans
Bake apple bread or apple cake.

Wish I can enjoy some of that chili, ham & beans, and baked apple bread *biggrin*.

I plan to enjoy my sons football game tomorrow. After that I hope to go to the movies and go for a nice drive to enjoy the foliage. I love the changes of the leaves and embracing all the goodies that come with the Fall like apple picking, hayrides, roasting smores, pumpkin spice, and making my special Coquito which is awesome during the upcoming holidays.

I just realized that the Freddie Mercury movie opens this weekend. If the skid is over, I may have to take myself to the movies.

Tomemos un trago Aniki!

It’s simple to make, in a blender add:

-1 can of evaporated milk

-1 can of cream of coconut (CoCo Lopez is good)

-1 can of coconut milk

-1 can of sweetened condensed milk

-1 cup or more of Puerto Rican rum or whatever rum your heart desires

-Half a cup of coconut rum (if you choose to)

-Vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, & nut meg

*Blend on high until mixture is combined well. Pour Coquito mixture into glass bottles, cover and refrigerate until cold. Once served you can garnish with cinnamon sticks if you like

Not much going on around my

Not much going on around my house...take down Halloween decor for sure, but other than that, not much..which is a good thing. Kinda rainy and dreary here so a quiet, relaxing weekend sounds perfect to me.

Yesterday DH said we needed to get out of town & head to one of our favorite destinations. Easy weekend trip for us. So I made those reservations this morning, we'll go in a couple weeks. So thats nice to look forward to. I absolutely adore how he'll occasionally spring a trip on me. Its amazing for us to just getaway, decompress and reconnect. Can't wait

Ooooooh, I hope you have a wonderful time!

Are you swapping those decorations out for Christmas? Friends of ours put up a Christmas tress yesterday. ~gulp~

1) Sleep in tomorrow.

2) Get out of bed, get into comfy robe, sit in comfy chair near window to watch rain, read my book, drink coffee and eat toast. Quietly.

3) Finish flooring the big bedroom downstairs.

4) Sunday = no work day. Make bread. Read. Watch a movie. Cover's time off.

I'm gearing up to do work in

I'm gearing up to do work in the kitchen. Slowly, but surely.

Oh, my kitchen is torn up too

Oh, my kitchen is torn up too. Old countertops/sink/backsplash are out (my living room is my kitchen and the downstairs bath is the sink) .... plywood is my partial countertop right now. Lots of fun, but when all the new stuff goes in it'll seem luxurious!

1.5 walls need paneling -

1.5 walls need paneling - which is leaning against one wall. That has to be done before I can put down the new flooring, followed by the baseboard. THEN I can build my new hutch. Sigh...

DH is going to our other home

DH is going to our other home to check on all the rain and to vote. I’m staying here alone for 4 days with no car. We have 3 cars, but they will all be at our other home.

Not really a problem though. Within a 4-6 block radius we have a grocery store and about 7 good restaurants. Plus I have tons of friends in our high rise that would give me a ride if I needed one.

Im going to watch some football. The weather is perfect- low 70s and sunny.
