UPDATE- Even though it was in the divorce decree that alimony stopped at 5 years we did need to get our attorney to take it back to court so husbands work would get the permission to stop the deduction. Ended up costing us our vacation money and we ended up sitting home this year but it was well worth it. Attorney said husband did not need to go to court, which was yesterday. Today husband got the call that it went through and the paperwork is in the mail. Husband gets paid bimonthly so she never got anything this month like she shouldn't have. Thank you to the person who told me to do this. I figured it'd have to be done but with your reassurance I was able to calmly talk to husband and have him go to the attorney and get this done before she got a single dime she didn't deserve. I love this place. Its like a sisterhood.
