I'm quite proud of him

BM calls last night while DH is in the shower, as he had just gotten home from work. I hit ignore. That felt good. He noticed it about 10 minutes after he got out, and called her back. He talked to her about 15 minutes. Conversation flowed like this;

Skid weekend, and I love my cat

Skids didn't come over until Sat evening, (some event with BM, whatever, you won't hear me complain!) and Sunday morning, DH gets out of bed before me and heads toward the kitchen. Apparently, Miss Princess Cat decided to leave a nice fresh poop right in front of the door to the skids' room. Normally poop on the floor is not something that makes me giggle inside, but I'll be damned if it didn't make so proud of her. She can't stand the skids either, most of the time she and I hide out in my room when they're running all over the house like maniacs.

Maybe her future isn't as bleak as I thought...

SDstb10 could always make a career in acting. Not movies, but maybe a trashy afternoon soap opera or a novella.
For some reason on Sunday she had it in her hear that we were having pizza for lunch. I had made some soup (that the last time I made it, both skids LOVED and sucked it down surprisingly fast) in the afternoon, so that was what we were having. DH called both skids to the table for lunch, they had been in their room watching tv. She comes down the hallway fine as can be, gets to the table, stops dead in her tracks and says 'NOT PIZZA??'

BM drama, the usual

We just had the skids this last weekend. Yesterday (Monday) BM asks DH if he can take the kids Tuesday evening to their first communion class thing at the church. She has to work Tuesday evening. He said he would if it was raining and he didn't have to work (construction foreman). Well... Boss calls last night and says 'no work tomorrow!' Oh, goodie. He tells her its fine, he can take them. Her other option, if he'd had to work, was to take them to a friend of her's house, oddly enough, about two miles from where we live, who also have a daughter in the same class.
