Grandbaby update O/T

So, DD25 is pregnant with a due date of July 14.

She has had nothing but ick with this pregnancy - first she was incredibly sick, then her AFP came back slightly elevated, which brought on a whole slew of genetic tests (all of which came back just fine) and now she has just received a Intrauterine Growth Restriction. Blah...

Baby Girl is in the 3rd percentile for growth.

So, this happened....

Scene - my house, early this morning. Alarm goes off. I roll over to see DH already awake, looking at his phone. The following conversation takes place...

DH - well, this should be interesting.

Me - mmppphh? (I am NOT a morning person)

DH - looks like a CS payment came in.

Me - mmmmmppphhh? (am not coherent until I have coffee)

DH - holy F$%k! It's $5500 dollars!

Me - ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? (apparently, money also makes me coherent)

DH - yup, guess someone got the message about a possible show cause hearing, huh?

This is kind of a complicated story, but I will do my best to simplify it. Asshat and I got divorced in 2000. In 2001, I began dating a man who was 19 years my senior. He was a widower, had two kids, and his late wife died in child birth with the second kid. Lots of baggage and drama related to that, but that’s not the point of this story. We will call him Marvin.

Scene - DH and I are driving to SkidTown for his weekend with the skids. We have recently purchased a condo so that we aren't hauling them back and forth across the state.

DH - will be at your house in 10 minutes. Please have kids ready to go

Medusa - fuck u they will come out when their ready, u ashole u think ur new condo is so great don't u but kids dont care about that or u

DH - *crickets*

Medusa - why do u keep alenating urself from the kids. Renting a condo here isn't going to make u spending time with them any easier

Sometimes my engineer DH is not so good with remembering details, so I will apologize in advance for the gaps BUT DH and I were sitting together after dinner last night.

During dinner, BabyVoice announced that Medusa's dad was going to be going to the Mayo Clinic (for a health issue that has popped up recently) and that he wanted her and KarateKid to go see him before he left. DH knew all about the health issue from Medusa's SM and it's not good...but that's another blog.

DH got an email from MedusaCounty Friend of the Court. He forwarded it to me. Remember the letter he got last month? Seems they are moving forward Smile

I know you guys think this is going one way, but it's totally another direction.

This morning, I was in the kitchen getting Sheba's breakfast ready. She was doing her usual howling and dancing on the counters, like I had no idea that it was morning and that the Diva needed to be fed. I also had to pee - so I was doing the potty dance as well.

DH comes into the kitchen and sees me doing the potty dance and asks me why I just don't go to the bathroom? After all, it is literally two feet from where I am standing...

"I have to feed Sheba first."
