What parent does this??

Okay...last week we had an issue with the BM(suprise suprise) We have 50/50 custody of my two SD's 11 & 13 so during the week tuesdays and wednesdays are our days to have the girls. I haven't written alot of posts so many of you may not be familiar with my situation. I've lived with DH for almost six years-and all during that time have acted as a stepmom to the girls-we've been married for almost 3 yrs.

Interesting School Assignment

Tonight after my SD-11 got finished with her homework she handed me a piece of paper from her teacher and told me I was suppose to read it. The sheet of paper explained that the kids were going to be working on a project in class for the last few weeks of school, a memory book. Well part of the assignment is for the parents, the sheet said all parents and step parents are to right a letter saying what they admire most about their child/stepchild.

First off I can't say how thankful I am to have found this site! It's so much easier to chat with people about stepparent issues that actually have hands on experience. I really believe that the new wife/stepparent situation is pretty much impossible to empathize with unless you've been there, It's just so hard to explain the emotional exhaustion we go through to a non stepparent, but anyway....
