I post on another non step related forum and every so often a topic comes up about, in this case, 12 year old girls who don't have to disclose medical history to parents but just present the bill to said parents.

Which segued into parents being responsible for college etc but needing to get permission from kid for grades etc due to "privacy rules."

So this house was like the house in "Driving Miss Daisy" with 30 years of neglect.   Working on the upstairs apt first we have the:

1. electric 95% done

2. new furnace in/old radiators going out this weekend for upstairs

3. heat divided (gone is the 3rd shared meter going to the boiler that once heated the entire house)

4. drywall done/ most of trim painted upstairs (LOVE Coverstain and Sherwin Williams version of coverstain which I got cheaper than Zinsser!)

5. bath and kitchen flooring going in this weekend

1. Does your man allow co-sleeping with his children? (aka the kiddies routinely jump into bed with him at night)

2. Does he have to lie down with them to get them to sleep?

3. Do the children seem somehow "stunted" socially? Do they have poor hygiene habits, eating habits, bedtime habits?

4. Does your man subscribe to the "one big happy family" model? (expects you to love his children as much as or more than him)

5. Does your man have the "inability" to say no to his children?

6. Do his children seem overly "hyperactive" to you?

Just received a letter from the Houseshitter's (YSS17) school stating that they still have not gotten any immunization records nor any up-to-date records of immunization for said Houseshitter. According to the letter, this request went out several times including just before the beginning of the school year in September. And no, the Girhippo has no religious objections or conscientious objections against immunizations...this is pure laziness and neglect. All the while she tells other parents how to parent their children for a living!!
