And Oh My Goodness it feels great!

We have had the kids full time for almost a year and since they finally went to court to get custody switched recently it just feel so much better knowing we will have the extra money to go to the extra cost of having kids with us instead of BM still getting it to have them for an hour after school and weekends. It was starting to get a little tight paying for having two extra people in the house to clothe and feed and entertain full time, and pay CS at the same time.

just as the Alka-Seltzer commercial says: "Oh what a relief it is"

oh in time. Really i think DH should treat himself since it was all his hard earned money, but yes my hard earned money did help pick up the slack

Happy for you all. I guessing BM will not have to pay the CS back even thought you all had the kids full time. I bet if she was a man and the shoe was on the other foot, the court would tell her to pay it back.

Just wanted to get it settled and done with we didnt even attempt.she wouldnt have been able to anyways. She did surpise dh and said she would pay cs when she got a job even though dh wasnt going to ask for it yet. She needs to get back on her feet first.

Dh said she understood what needed to be done and she didnt really have a choice. So not a huge flipp out. I know it had to be hard for her but it needed done and its only right. She had no problem doing the same to dh when he was younger and had his hard time. She did cry and arugue a little bit but dh said it wasnt bad Considering what could have been.

I'm pretty sure your bm found this page. I saw her post on another site about how terrible it was that her kids sm was bragging about not paying cs anymore. Just a heads up.

Yeah I just read it,I don't think it was her though ( the spelling and grammer was too good for her and if it was her posting it she would have already said, i mean scream something to us about it. If she is keeping quiet it's because she didn't get the replies she wanted to hear. If she is lurking here, Welcome BM....and im not going to disappear.

I dont think she liked the replies because when i went back to look at it it was gone, but i screen shot it before it went POOF....Just in case it was BM, still havnt heard anything about it though

I'd love to go comment over there, "Why, exactly, would you think that your ex-husband should pay YOU money when him and his wife are taking care of YOUR children FT?? You DO realize that Child Support is supposed to benefit the children and not just be treated like extra income for you, right???"
