We just found out that ss19 is in a desperate financial state
We have been trying to get ss19 on a budget for some time. He was spending as fast or faster than he was making it. 2 credit cards maxed out, no savings, and other bills piling up. You know mobile phone, high speed internet, yada yada yada. He now has lost his job. We really want to help but it can only be here and there. If we just take care of it he will do it all over again, he's done small things before that my husband just took care of for him.
I had good conversation...
I had a good conversation with a family friend a while ago about China and their 1 child per family law. He said he would (in the perfect world) like to see prospective parents pass an I.Q. test. Test them on things like "Your child needs medicine and you have the money to buy it. Do you buy the medicine or go on a bender?" Just a thought.

I'm sure that BM is ready to take me down
I'v raised my two SS's for 14 years, 11 as SM. They are 19 & 17. I've been very consistant in how I deal with them. It has been said by my husband and me for years that after graduation that if they don't go into higher education, they have two months to find a place of their own and move out on their own.

I can't stand seeing my husband this upset
Our oldest son 19 has really made some poor choices in the past year. He spends his money as fast as he makes it & then some. He easily netted about $17,000 from July of last year to now & has spent it all, plus he maxed out his credit card $2,500 +. To help him we took away his credit card, & monitored his bank accounts. SS19 was doing pretty good at getting his debt down, or so we thought.

My home has become a ghost town, I think I'm lonely.
My husbands work load has gone through the roof. He often gets home around 11pm or midnight. Even on the days he comes home earlier he crashes & I'm alone even when he's here. I'm working a shift that has me leaving the house early & alas that means I need to fall asleep early.
My SS19 is to college in the day & then goes to work directly after. He usually gets home around midnight daily.

Can things be going too smoothly?
SS19 has wiped out his credit card debt, & has even put a small amount in savings. Plus he seems to be balancing his college & work okay.
SS17 seems happier, maybe it's because of world cup, whatever it is he is a pleasure to be around.
Finally my husband is feeling physically better though he has to have one more blood sugar test. The doctor told him to loose weight & to watch what he's eating, & he is.
This seems too good to be real. So here I sit hoping that it doesn't all go away, its nice.

Just something light
I see so many good on line names. I guess I missed the boat. I could have been Stepzilla. I also could have been Chupacabra Bon Bon Hi, the name I plan on going by when I finally go crazy. Oh missed opportunities.
Anyone can feel free to use either.

SS17 going through breakup
Well last night my SS17 came into the livingroom to give me a big hug. I could tell he was upset but not ready to talk. I made us tea & then he told us that his GF14 has broken up with him. Earlier in the day he went over to his friends place to talk about the break up, & watch World Cup. While they were talking his friend told him that he's been an ass to me. I guess he had to hear it from someone outside the family.

It makes me laugh
Just recently I bumped into an older woman walking home from the local grocery store stuggling with several bags. I had a pull behind cart & offered to help her home with them. I've lived in this area for 12 years now, but the residential areas are so snakey that I steer clear of them if I can. I asked her where we were going, & when she told me I couldn't quite place it. Well it was just 2 blocks from my house. So I was left shaking my head & laughing at myself.
