Super quick summary:  SS 11 moved in with us in June due to severe behavioral issues and made our lives a miserable hell.  Broke things, holes in the walls, screaming profanities, all of it.  DH has taken him off the cocktail of 6 different meds he was on and that helped with his aggression.  He is eligible for medicinal marijuana in our state and has just finished week 2 of that.  Even I will admit, it's a huge difference but since it's only been 2 weeks, I'm not sold that his newfound peace and compliance will last, especially since...

Need to disengage for sanity

This has been the longest five months of my life.  SS11 is finally off all medication and is actually doing much better.  We had a good 8 weeks there where I thought I might rip my face off.  While the violence and constant BS is now a very dull roar (maybe one mild fit /week versus multiple times/day), I don’t find myself liking this child any more than I did before.

I know many of you can probably relate to bio bullcrap, right?

So this morning DH was in a meeting with the mental health department to try to expedite services for this terror living in my house.  The representative was on the phone with social security trying to get that ball rolling when it was brought to his attention that bio mom has been collecting money intended for her disabled son for the past 4 months while he's been destroying my house.  

I am so livid.  Thank you for letting me vent.  

Just shy of two month update...

Autistic SS has been with us for just shy of two months now.  We were 'gifted' custody by BM with a 2 week confirmation.  

I have spent the better portion of the last month trying to soul search to see what my main problem is with this.  It's not my favorite, I didn't really have a say, etc.  So in trying to view this a little more globally, this child came to us from a home where:
