Sleep-over at MIL's... DS EXCLUDED!!!!!!!

mommabear's picture

So yesterday DH and all 4 kids spent the day at MIL's house swimming while I was at work. DS9 had football practice @ 5 (which is the same time I get home from work), so DH brought the baby home to me, left SD and SS with MIL, and took DS to practice. MIL called to tell me she was making dinner and DH could stop by on his way home and pick some up for us, there was plenty. She also asked if "the kids" could have a sleep-over with her... I told her I needed to run it by DH first, but I was pretty sure it wouldn't be a problem.

Boogers...

OK so as some of you have read, we have the skids every weekend through the end of this month. Last weekend, my BS9 went to stay with his grandma... DH and I were texting the details of BS9's departure time and I said, "Would be nice if maybe skids could stay the night with your mom and we could have a quiet weekend (with the baby, of course) to which he agreed, except that he offered to take the skids home EARLY Saturday morning, rather than let them stay at his mom's all night... that way he could see them for a little while. Great! Sounds wonderful!!

Frustrated...

I love my MIL, I really do! She is a wonderful woman, very helpful, kind, compassionate, understanding, non-meddling...I couldn't ask for anything better...except for ONE thing! She makes it so VERY OBVIOUS that SD7 and SS4 are her FAVORITES! DH and I have a 3 month old and I can count on one hand how many times she has seen him - and that's because I have taken him to see her; however, she goes out of her way to make plans with BM to have a 'sleep-over' with SD and SS one day/week.
