Court Ordered Counselor recommends that SO become a Disney Dad

So my SO got court ordered counseling since he has not seen his 15 year old daughter in over 6 months.

They have had two sessions. The most recent was yesterday.

Here are the results of two sessions - the counselor said all this in front of the 15 year old:

1. Since we are a blended family we should have two sets of rules - Yours and Mine. She did not discuss the basic guidelines of the household like respect for others and for the house you live in.

So Christmas was celebrated on Friday December 23rd so that we could open presents as a "family". That went well and was fun. This year SD14(now 15 as of 12/24) who we have not seen or communicated with since 11/29/11 was invited to join the celebration. Of course she did not respond to the invitation text that I sent her (SO thought it would be best if I sent the invite). It is 6pm in the evening and SO tells me that SD13 is going to dinner with SD14 to celebrate her birthday. Mind you they are with BM from 9pm on 12/24 until new years day and SD14's birthday is 12/24.

Decorating the Christmas....how can that go wrong?

I put up the Christmas tree on Friday night. I always put up the tree with only the lights and wait for ALL the girls to be here so that we can decorate the tree together. Decorating the Christmas tree is a big deal for me. Don't know why but it always has been and I love doing it.

I was trying to determine when we could all decorate and with three busy girls (SD13, BD13 and BD10) it was decided that it would be Sunday at 8:00pm. All girls were informed that this was when we would do it.

Stomach Ulcer - Happy Birthday to Me!!

Well the doctor confirmed yesterday (happy 43rd birthday to me) that I have several ulcers in my stomach.

Anyway, as many of you are aware living in a blended family has its challenges! Take care of yourselves as I have just learned first hand that the stress of a blended family can do major harm to not only your peace of mind but your body too.

Black Friday Plans to include SD13....SERIOUSLY

So I just asked my SO if he wanted to join me at the local outlet mall at midnight for a little Black Friday shopping. There is a ski jacket that my daughter wants for Christmas and it is 50% off and I have a coupon for an additional 15% off. This is the only way I can afford to buy her the $229 coat she wants and actually needs.

SD14 Suspended from School for Drugs - BM Rewards her with a shopping spree

My SD14 was suspended from school for 5 days for buying perscription pills at school and buying pot off property. BM had her for the 5 days of suspension and took her shopping every day and bought her a designer jacket, homecoming dress and allot of other stuff according to SD14. We provide SD14 with a cell phone. We suspended service on the cell phone while she was suspended. The school counselor suggested that she be grounded for three weeks, no phone, no FB, no friends. We locked her out of FB and planned to keep her cell phone service suspended for three weeks.

Well about a year ago I told my SO that I would no longer be running his girls SD11 and SD13 (at that time) around, picking them up from cheer practices, getting them ready for cheer, taking to friends houses and attending events of theirs on weekends I had my kids. My girls BD9 and BD12 (at that time)were upset with me because I would devote an entire day to his kids and they had to come with me to pick up at practice and devote their day as well to their events. I was trying hard to create the family that I grew up in.

Maybe someone will understand

My DH and I have been together 3.5 years. We have 4 girls. BD10, BD13, SD12, SD14. Most problems are with DH and his girls. The day after Christmas 2010 my SD14 and her two friends destroyed my bathrobe with red spray paint and peed on my toothbrush. I discovered the robe and she denied any involvement. I discovered my toothbrush had urine on it (after I had used it) and so did my bath towel. She still denied any involvement. We had to contact the police and the police officer finally got the story out of her.
