Black Friday Plans to include SD13....SERIOUSLY

So I just asked my SO if he wanted to join me at the local outlet mall at midnight for a little Black Friday shopping. There is a ski jacket that my daughter wants for Christmas and it is 50% off and I have a coupon for an additional 15% off. This is the only way I can afford to buy her the $229 coat she wants and actually needs.

I have just been informed that SD14 (who we have spent 8 hours with since she was suspended from school in September for drug use) will not be joining us for Thanksgiving dinner as she promised (no big surprise since BM started drama on Wednesday over holiday parenting time). I have disengaged so I really don't care if she is there or not. Not my problem right?

So as a "reward" (per SO)to SD13 who is with us for Thanksgiving he has invited her to join us in our Black Friday shopping spree (really it is only one item at one store). SD13 says she will join us and now he wants to rearrange the entire shopping spree (really only one item at one store) to include her and he wants me to help him figure out what really great item to get her so that her sister will regret not spending Thanksgiving with us. SERIOUSLY.....I just wanted one freaking jacket at one freaking store for my kid. I thought it would be kind of fun to get in the excitement. I am not up for a "revenge shopping spree" which he cannot afford since he gave an attorney $5K to fight the motion that BM filed to have his parenting time with SD14 discontinued and parenting time with SD13 reduced by 6 days per month. The GAL just got $2K.

He is being as crazy as BM was when she rewarded SD14 with a shopping spree after getting suspended from school. Why oh why can't BM's and Disney Dad's realize that you cannot buy love and affection??

So in conclusion I will be going by myself as originally planned. I should have know better than to invite him. He and SD13 can shop away. I won't have my plans hijacked!

Things I am grateful for on Thanksgiving:

1. A normal EX who co-parents with me and who does not date so as to avoid the drama that he has seen me/our girls go through
2. Two BD's that are amazing(most of the time)!
3. Plan B that will hopefully have me out of this relationship by the end of the school year
4. A job I love and co-workers that find my drama entertaining as compared to their "boring" lives
5. A web site where I can go to that makes me feel "normal" when I am having Skid issues

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! May your holiday be drama/stress free!

It is posts like this that make me realise just how lucky I am to have my DH. I definately did not get a "disney dad" and I got someone who puts me first always. I like to include his daughter in our family stuff, but if she isn't with us when things are going on he doesn't care. He figures, if she is with us she will be included, if she is with her mom then it is just us and our daughter.

My kids are with their Dad which is why I planned this little shopping spree. I don't have my girls all weekend long but he planned extended vacation time with them so he could spend the entire holiday with them. I have just about every minute of the long weekend devoted to me time so that I don't have to be home taking care of skids.

Why would he think it is a good idea to invite SD???????????? UGH!! Good for you for going by yourself...that would totally ruin the "shopping spree"!

Because he always thinks it is a good idea to invite my SD. She is not an adult. I have to keep telling him this. She does not have to have, go with or do everything that we do as adults. There are certain rights that you have to earn. She is not entitled to do what I have earned.

I am leaving in a few minutes to go shopping on my own. He is taking SD and they are going in their own car. I know how much he hates to shop so when he sees the traffic just to get into the place he will turn around. He plans to leave at 11:45 pm since it is a 10 minute drive! ha!that is why I am out of here!
