Got My House Back

LMR120's picture

Just thought I would update you all ... after a long three day weekend I have my house back!!!! Woke up this morning to the skids screaming and whining so all the kids got put in their rooms for the day. BF made dinner and I decided to eat in the other room because of already being in a bad mood I didn't feel like eating at the troff. Now I am not saying this to be mean but has anyone ever eaten with two kids who have no manners? I'm serious when I say my dog eats quieter than these two. One is 3 who sounds like she is half sucking/chewing her food with her mouth open and the other one sounds like an overweight asthmatic trying to eat and breath at the same time. Both smacking their mouth struggling to breath while they inhale their food. Fucking disgusting   . Oh and all this on the weekend before my BF deploys. Smile

ohhhhh bad table manners ewww... such a total pet hate of mine! We have table manner games, with a chart n stickers. So if they eating quietly and bring there plates to the bench they get a sticker..

it has been so great for them to be at the table and just remember how to eat nicely and use manners... maybe you should give that a try?

good luck!

hope it works!! and they will look forward to meal times and well, so everyone will come to the table happy and wanting to have nice manners so you wont have to be in another room angry..

it really helped out skids, they are pretty good anyway but when we go out to a resturant we know we dont have to stress or worry they will embrass us!

good luck

Yup, I do know about that. SS9 still eats with his fingers and prefers to perch on his chair rather than actually sitting down on it. He's like the feral child who is found in the woods and we're trying to re-integrate him back into polite society. SS11 makes sure his inner food critic comes out to play every mealtime and either the tortilla isn't warmed to his preference before the rest of the burrito was made, or there's too much seasoning on the potatoes, etc. etc. etc. Good thing yours are still young, and a sticker chart will work for them. Mine are too old and now it's gotten to be a real point of contention daily.

LMAO Sorry thats funny. Perched on a chair lol. Its amazing how horrible people who cant eat like a human being can ruin your meal. I mean do they hear how they sound? I literally wanted to take their plates from them and tell them when they are ready to eat like human and now a pack of lions they could have their plates back.
