Just found out this morning that Loghead paid $170 for Lazy Boye's school letterman's jacket, even though Loca Grande promised she would. The skids go to a small town school where it is still "cool" for the athletes to own these jackets and wear them with pride. He was all excited when she promised to pay for it, and put down the deposit earlier this spring. He's been wearing the thing like crazy since he brought it home 3 weeks ago.

CRAP! Please help!

I found a poem the other day in my "Chicken Soup for the Parent's Soul" that just brought me to tears! It was about a 16 year old young man, but when he sleeps he is still the little boy his mother remembers...

I laid the book aside, thinking I would create a quick scrapbook page for PITA 16, my SS, to remind him that even though he's a little shit, I do love him, as a last minute Christmas present.

Loghead and I went with Princess yesterday to see the doctor about a possible eating disorder. The doctor has seen over our care for the last 6 years, and he was very concerned for her. Losing 20 pounds in 6 months for such a skinny little thing is NOT GOOD. He ran blood work just to rule out any other health conditions, and we meet with a dietician after Christmas.

Loghead even spoke to Loca Grande about it- that just shows how serious he things this is...

I told Loghead yesterday that I thought Princess had an eating issue. he asked me what I based that on, and I told him. Being a science teacher, he knew...

She wandered in and out of the kitchen, getting ready to meet friends. He watched her and grabbed her for a hug. When she left the room after the hug, he went and got the bathroom scale, and left it in the kitchen. We left the room to see what she would do.

Sure enough, she came in and stepped on it. She started screaming, "Oh, my God!"

Help= Signs of an eating disorder?

Princess 18 got home from college for Christmas break on Monday. Yea! She's home for a whole month! I have mixed feelings about this. I love my SD with all my heart, but she's been using it as a trampoline for a almost 2 years now. I've adjusted to not having her around, and things have been so much better without her energy in the house. But if she will let me, I look forward to hearing all about school, and the boys she likes now that Stepping Stone (her old boyfriend) is out of the picture.

I sometimes forget...

that he's smarter than he acts. Loghead IS making PITA pay for repairs to the car for his little driving stunt Saturday. Loghead has put him on driving restrictions- to and from school only, no side trips. (Because of ball practice, there's no way around it. PITA has to drive...) Loghead has had him doing all kinds of things around the house, and has had several discussions with him about car safety and consequences. He's gone full on "school teacher" on PITA and shown him all kinds of safety videos and public service things about teens and irresponsible driving...

"Boys will be boys."

PITA 16 trashed Loghead's car yesterday afternoon. And Loghead isn't even slightly upset!

It was one of those weird weekends around here. I got a stomach bug around 2:00 Friday afternoon, and Gibby and I came straight home. Sadly, I told my 9 year old to have cereal or make PBJ cause I couldn't even be near food or out of the bathroom! Loghead was out chaperoning an event for his school, and the skids were at their ball tournament. No one was home to help, but I did make sure Gibby got food before I passed out asleep.

Yes, I friended her on facebook. On the private page I use just for the skids, so I can "spy" on what's going on with them... And since she is, sadly, a part of their lives, I wanted to keep up with her...

Loca Grande posted Tuesday about her birthday, and spelled Princess's name wrong. How do you misspell your own child's name? And this wasn't just a typo...

Then, today she took one of those stupid quizzes, "Which Tattoo is best for you?" and it came back a star because "you are a peaceful and drama free person." I nearly fell out of my chair laughing...
