Smile I just read in recent comments that Jesus was a stepson. Yes I guess he was. How lucky was Joseph to have had Jesus for that short amount of time. I never have thought of this. Going to give that thought

ROFL@ Choking. "So you think you can walk on water...at 13 eh? Next you'll be asking for a car this CHRISTMAS!"

I agree Kilgore. Makes me hang my head in shame when I call SS the devil's son. I better stop. At least for today }:)

There is at least one teen story. How they went to Jeruselem (I think) and Jesus disappeared (ran away) for days and they finally found him teaching in the temple and when he was chastized told them "Where else would you find me but my fathers house."

See now that I have been a step parent I now read that passage as saying:

"Yeah I didnt wanna hang with mom and step dad... so I decided to go to dads house, only I didnt tell anyone. I am 'Jesus', you cant tell me what to do!"

PS at young adult age (Im figuring late teens/ twenties) is when he found the market happening on temple grounds and he tore through the market trashing things.

I now see temper tantrum in this story too.

Horrifying thought.

What if we have been snockered for 2000+ years.

Mary is a cheating BM who made up the God story to cover her cheating on Joseph and getting knocked up by another man before the wedding.

Jesus is a skid... who is raised to believe as the center of the universe/ son of god.

Joseph is the poor deluded Step parent who works his arse off supporting everyone.

Who is apparently dumped after the kid grows up (bible goes dead silent on Joseph around the time jesus becomes an adult.

Im now gonna have nightmares that the bible is partly a cheating BM's diary.

Going to church now- I think I need confession.

Oh Damn! Look what I started. None of that has ever crossed my mind. I was just saying that step parents have always been around.

All I can envision is Jesus throwing rocks at the other kids, them ganging up on him and Jesus yelling "I'm telling my Dad!"

Suddenly.....all of those kids are turned into pillars of salt.

Jesus walks away with a self satisfied smirk on his face.

Has anyone ever watched the Family Guy episode where they flash to Jesus (as a teen) telling Joseph "Your not my Dad!", then getting on the phone and calling his "Dad"? Jesus asked if he could come and live with them, that things weren't working out at home. God responds "Oh I'd love to but, you know how things are? See you this weekend and tell your mom I sent the check!"
