Update on my Friend the BM and Michigan FOC

The BM received the recommendation from FOC yesterday. (Apparently so did the Father since he is burning up her cell phone and she is refusing to answer his call. He is not leaving messages either.)

CS has gone from $1000.00 per month to $1998.00 per month as of 03.01.2014. Father has 21 days to appeal which he likely will.

It's been a relatively peaceful couple of weeks since my oldest step son was tossed out of the nest, to go spread his wings (and attitude) elsewhere. We did have the incident where he showed up at "the kids" house (my kids and sd19s house) and attempted to talk sd19 over to 'his side' of the fight. Didn't work. And he got his a$$ kicked by my son in the process.

Well this weekend blew chunks.

Friday afternoon I threw ss18 out of the house, as in physically. His father will never allow him to return.

I got home from work Friday to find the kid smoking IN the house. I totally get he is 18 and “a man now” and legally he can buy smokes. Happy for you, however if “I” can go outside and smoke… everyone can. He was told to take his cigarette outside that there is no smoking in the house.

SS15’s daughter was born last night. For those that are new/ need a refresher: SS15 got his girlfriend pregnant, DH’s brother and his wife are adopting the little pink bundle of oh-my-god-she-is-adorable!!

She was born almost a month early (3 weeks give or take a day or two) and weighed in at 5 pounds 1 ounce. All test results show a perfectly healthy baby. Presumed reason for prematurity is teenage pregnancy.

Interesting stuff in the mail yesterday.

Aside from the normal junk mail we received from the attorney a signed ORDER from ye olde judge in our custody case. Signed December 30, 2013.

Mother is allowed Supervised visitation at (name of local business that contracts with DCFS to do supervised visitation) located at (insert local address) for three hours every other week. Times/dates of visits will be determined by (name of business) as scheduling permits.

A drama free Christmas... unbelievable!

Christmas was great, all kids and skids well behaved, no family drama... life is good.

Today DH has the 'pleasure' of driving his kids to go see their mother. At the prison. 300+ miles away (have fun with that babe!)

Oh, and the skids figured out what to get her for christmas. Each chipped in 5-10 bucks and are going to put the money on her commisary card.

Initially with DH joined step talk I was put off. He was invading MY turf.. this is my place to vent… you guys are MY support group and he needs to go elsewhere. But hey big boy decided to make an account and log in and talk/post. Which means when he makes an utterly bone headed move, and pisses me off, and I come on here and VENT about it… he will get the pleasure of seeing it and any and all replies.
