OT - The Emotionally Absent Mother book...great...possible insight into why skids hang all over daddyyyyyy

I am reading this book and well, I have said many times that too many of the issues today with crazy kids are directly related to the crappy mothers they have...not always to the crappy fathers as the media would lead you to believe. I have seen plenty of single moms, with no dad around, that do an AMAZING job raising their kids...it is those moms who prove even further the damage that crappy moms do to their kids and that yes, moms alone, if they are GOOD mothers, can raise happy and well adjusted kids. Anyway, I am reading this book and so many things that skids do, that my DHs kid did and so many here complain about are related to a crappy mother that I thought I'd post here. Maybe it will help some of you deal with the issues of these clingy or messed up kids or possibly even help you get the kids evaluated to take custody away from these crappy mothers.

Oh great. If my Dh ever sees this it will be my fault that SD is a selfish, manipulative nasty person. Because I should have been more loving and made up for her biomom.

I was thinking this same thing. I do not pretend to be SD's mom, I do not mother her, per se. She has a mother, and its not me. BM is far away, but was a major PAS'er when she was with SD. SD is very manipulative, selfish, whiney and over the top huggy kissy with DH. To the point its disgusting to watch.

I cannot wait to read this.

Holy crap I'm gonna have to get this book too. Just this past Saturday I stared in disgust as SD11 lay her entire body on top of my DH so she could ask him if he could go buy her ice cream. It was disgusting. Between that and the constant petting of his face, laying her head down on his lap, holding his hand and rubbing his legs, I was ready to fucking PUKE all over her.

Oh my, this cracked me up for some reason!! that is all the hell we need!!!!!

that is just about the only thing that has not been expected of us, and now here the hell it is!!!
