Fingers crossed that he doesn't give her money

hereiam's picture

As the title says, I am keeping my fingers crossed that my DH does not start giving money to my SD33. He is concerned that she does not have food in the house. I am not concerned, as SD and her loser husband (LH), who are total layabouts (says hereiam, sitting on the couch, perusing StepTalk), seem to have money for the unecessary things that they want. So, I don't believe that they are going without food.

OT- Article for Chmmy and others (including myself) waiting to "get their ducks in a row"

It's funny how articles or other signs show up at the right time.

This showed up on my home page this morning from TED Ideas.

What is one goal you wish you could accomplish? Chances are, you have no problem naming it, so what holds you back from achieving it?

Life has a nasty habit of interrupting the best-laid plans, but more often than not, it’s our own minds that get in the way of our goals. We make a litany of excuses for why those goals don’t get checked off our lists, and we become our own worst enemies.

The Day SD Just Showed Up (long)

Here you go, Petronella. It is not that exciting of a story but....

To get it out of the way, SD28 has NEVER had a key to my house. I've been in her life since she was 5 but she has never lived with us, I would never trust her with a key, and we have always lived at least 30 minutes away, so there has never been a reason for her to be here when we're not home. No popping in after school, or whatnot.

I shredded BM

Figuratively.

So, awhile back I was doing some paper shredding and came across paperwork from DH's divorce, CS statements, and blah, blah, blah (see previous blog). I have years and years of crap (and apparently 15 copies of everything?) so didn't get close to done, but I got back to it today. DH said go ahead and shred everything except the important stuff (actual divorce decree) but I had to glance through everything because I was sorting by recycle or shred, so had to look to see what info was on what paperwork.

So, I have spent the last couple of days doing some cleaning/organizing, which includes A LOT of shredding. I thought I had already shredded all of DH's old child support receipts but came across some that were mixed in with his bank statements, along with photo copies of his checks to CS.
