For those who believe they are dealing with a 'Disordered' BM

*The following blog entry is based solely on my own research, with help from a qualified professional in the mental health field. I share it here, b/c I see many SM's dealing with behaviors that I recognize within my own situation.

No mentally stable mother will outright choose to damage her child(ren), no matter how hurt or angry she may be. When you witness this type of behavior, there is usually something bigger at play. This is why I went in search of answers.

Weird conversation~ Big backslide~ Do the BF's sometimes believe their own bad press?

SO had a weird conversation with me a couple of nights ago. Told me, he really just doesn't want to be a father most days. Went on to tell me that he's tired of being being made to feel worthless unless he becomes 'the wallet.' Then he said, 'they're obviously right about me being a bad father. They never want to spend time with me when it's just hanging out talking or doing stuff around the house. It must be that I'm a bad father, if I wasn't, they'd want to be with me more often.'

Hi, just an introduction....

Hi all,

I guess you could say I am new here. I have been lurking for several months and finally joined a couple of months ago. I'm not really big in to blogging so I hope that isn't a daily requirement? lol. I will try to add some things as I go but, I'd rather spend my time here offering support and discussing step-parenting issues. Even if that means ranting and raving, (oops, I meant 'venting') LOL. I surely know how good venting can be, so totally no offense meant. I truly feel for each and every one here.
