Requested Clarification

When you sign up for an account, you agree to abide by the Terms of Use in order to remain as an active member of this board. Dawn and Admin developed those terms for a reason. The moderating policy, in general, is that you get ONE warning for violating the Terms of Use. Any other violation of the Terms results in removal from the board. Enforcement of the Terms are not personal. There is a generic message that is sent explaining the warning. Just because you get a warning, does not mean that you are on some "bad" list.

General Warning About Trolling Other Pages

anabihibik's picture

If Dawn, Admin, or I are given proof that you are trolling another page to start stuff and it trickles over here, you will be removed from this site. I have removed a number of posters today who are trolling from another site because some of our members can't be adults. If you are participating in this behavior, grow up or feel free to leave ST. You can not ask us to try to protect what you write here if you are going to contribute to the problem. As I stated recently, it really isn't hard to figure out who some people are between here and FB. It is your privacy that you risk.

Removal of "offensive" posts.

anabihibik's picture

If you post in blog form, you have the ability to remove any post you don't like on your blog. If you flag posts as offensive and they do not violate the Terms of Use, we're not touching it. Please, don't just flag a bunch of things because someone disagrees with you.

ETA: If you don't like a blog post, don't respond and move on instead of harping on whether or not you think it belongs. If it doesn't violate the Terms of Use, we aren't touching it.

Terms of Use

anabihibik's picture

Just a reminder, violating the Terms of Use more than once will result in removal from the board. To have a membership, you agreed to abide by them. The reason for violating them does not matter. If someone's getting you really fired up, it is probably time to take a break from that blog. If you are having an issue with someone on your post, you have the ability to delete their comments and/or let the moderators know.

Way way OT, Pressure cook for canning question if anyone else does this.....

Unless you count that I'm a full-time SM feeding my SS home-canned food.....
I'm having way more issues in the kitchen than as a SM. That parts easy right now. I'm looking at purchasing an All-American and can't decide on the 15.5 qt or the 21.5 qt size. I have a huge stockpot from my SIL for water bath canning quart-sized jars. So, I'm just trying to decide if I really need another gigantic pot or if the smaller one will work. Hood height is currently a non-issue, and I don't have a glass-top range. Any thoughts, suggestions, things you love and things you hate on the subject?

Terms of Use

anabihibik's picture

"Harmful, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, obscene, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, hateful or otherwise objectionable" are all violations of the Terms of Use in the top right corner of your screen. Please, keep this in mind when responding to other posters. Everyone is here for a reason, so please, try to have a little compassion and respect when you respond to each other. Thank you.

Use of Moderators

anabihibik's picture

If you have an issue with another member, instead of posting private messages and what not as a blog and inciting trouble on the site, please, use the moderators. Sita Tara, Admin, Dawn, and I are happy to help as this is what we're here for. If you have requested another member to leave you alone and they do not, let us know. Posting blogs inciting drama frequently results in members resorting to behavior violating the terms of use. If a member has already received a warning in the past for this type of behavior, it will result in removal from the board.

A little motivational something

My mom sent me this in an email when all my stuff started coming up in March. I found it helpful.

Carrots, Eggs & Coffee
A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up, She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
