Does anyone have any experience with a skid or bio with FASD?
We have serious suspicions that this is what is wrong with SD. Not saying that BM intentionally drank when she was pregnant, but sometimes it can happen if you don't know you are pregnant right away.
My sister in law has worked with special needs kids and adults for years and she has suggested that this could be the problem.
Just looking for someone who might have experience in this.

Symptoms are available on-line of course but its a very complicated syndrome and could go in many directions. My impression is that the damage is done and all you can do is treat the symptoms which are obvious anyway. I.e. a diagnosis doesn't help except to warn women in the future to be careful if they could be or are trying to get pregnant.

I thought that of my wife's first born but later moved away from it. I now suspect a lot of these ills are caused by our chemically laden food supply. Like you said the most damage is done very early in pregnancy when a woman may not even know she's pregnant. If she learned say a week after heavy drinking that she was pregnant what is she to do? I think I've heard of some women using an "abortion pill" available in many States and Countries.

Please google it - kids with FAS have a very distinct head and facial look.

I have googled it. Done extensive research and my sister in law gave me questionnaire that helps determine if its a possibility or not. All signs point to FASD but I have not mentioned it to my SO or to BM yet, and neither of them have mentioned it either. BM is very uneducated and it probably wouldn't even cross her mind.
She does slightly have the facial features but I have also learned in my research that the facial features are not prominent 100% of the time.
