We are mothers who stepped up. Or fathers who stepped up.

Something I read yesterday regarding being a dad with no bio connection to the kid(s).

Several things I read yesterday dealt with this reality.  Being a mother or a father may have little to do with biology and everything to do with choice and personal quality.

Just about any woman can procreate just as just about any man can procreate. Not all of those can be a quality parent for any number of reasons.

We are the mothers who have stepped up, or the fathers who have stepped up when the breeders failed or could not do so.

In many cases anyway.

That we stepped up is what often the noxious baggage of an X that our mate bred with in the past is reacting to with their manipulation, PASing, and relative failure to be decent.

Celebrate that SParents. 

Even if our skids, our mate, and/or their X(s) do not. We truly are better than those who don't.  Regardless of who they are.
