I love it. Whatever your political leanings, any stepmom understands what she had to have faced as a SM. Being a bio-mom to babies and toddlers (and through adulthood) is hard but proportionally rewarding. Being a SM....well....all the hook but none of the high.

I still am amazed and feel quite silly that I had no idea that marrying a man with adult children would affect my life the way it has. I concur, there is no reward that I can discern. (On the flip side, I do not think my husband feels the same. My kids are easy and have never once created an issue between us.) I concentrate on our marriage; after all, that is what our union is about...us!
