Kids catching bus alone between cities for NCP visits.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who have had their BK or SK travel by bus alone to visit other parent and how that experience was.

I have plenty of opinions from people in real about whether kids should go on the bus alone or not lol And those opinions vary, very 50/50 for and against. I don't even know if I'm for or against yet. I don't really want a big debate about it.

This is for me. My DD11 lives with her Dad, (better school for her in his city.) For the last several months I have been catching the bus to pick her up, then we come home. Two days later, another round trip to drop her off.

*That's 6 bus tickets costing about $110 EOW (not US$)
*That's 6 hours per trip for me. (waiting on other end for bus home is about 2 hours)
*I get bus sick, sometimes the nausea last 2 days.

The money isn't the issue, and her Dad is not obligated to do the travelling. It's the 6 hour trips away from my boys and the bus sickness that has me contemplating whether I should have my DD catch the bus alone.

At first I was absolutely against it, but after catching the bus for several months I have the impression that it would be... ok. I have seen plenty of other kids on the bus by themselves. Never had an issue of any kind while catching the bus. I feel my DD is mature enough etc etc.

Anyway, has anyone done this with your children, what were their ages and were there any problems?...

One stop, tiny little town. The bus we use require a lot of paper work for unaccompanied minors under 12, she wouldn't be able to leave the bus till the bus driver matches BD paperwork with his and with the person picking up BD, which I've seen them do with other unaccompanied kids.

So i'm actually thinking while she's 11 it might be safer, but once kids are 12, they can travel alone without all the paperwork. That seems scary to me.
