I'm so F-ing pissed off. SS17 is old enough to get public transport, but still has a real sense of entitlement in regards to be driven around, and very long distances, by whoever is willing and able to do it. I have disengaged, so I don't. But DH's father and stepmom do it. It's not their job.

If public transportation is there.............stop driving.

Nothing you can do about it if Gramps wants to coddle the kid. It takes practice to get this kind of stuff out of your head,but it gets easier over time. Just keep repeating our favorite saying: not my circus, not my monkey.
