SD: I had baby food in my lunch box. Kids laughed at me and I cried of embarrassment. Yep. Just like you all predicted. I mean who lets their kid take baby food for lunch?!
My younger step-daughter and a couple of friends went through that stage around age 15 or 16. We didn't let her eat it she bought it on her own. I guess it tastes pretty good if you like the particular flavor. Peach not peas please.
Ha! That's what I thought. Then, last night, she started whining and insisting that Daaddae sleep with her, and for some reason he obliged, when he used to tell her no way. Ugh
Btw- baby food is not nutritious at this age, it's not e en good for babies, unless it's homemade, there is so much sugar and preservatives. Also, if she likes the taste, why not eat regular sauce? It's same thing.
Lucky me, she is only here one day a week nowadays, the other one is not here at all anymore. And soon I ought be gone too, of this crap, doesn't stop... I used to at least half like her, now she's become a needy tyrant like her mother. She even said so to DH yesterday: Daddaeeee, ouunare my slave! ( with that well rehearsed idiotic speech impediment which she no longer has, but brings back every time she is around Daddae....) ugh and gag
8 years old. It's not just the food, it's the OBSESSIVENESS about baby food, diapers, baby talk, spoiled baby behavior, demanding that Daddaaeee sleeps with her after 8 years of sleeping alone (heck, BM could not care less for her, she was born with fetal alcohol syndrome, like the rest of BM's spawn). Sad, I know, but after I got shit on by SD and everyone else, I stopped giving a darn. Now I just vent.
My daughter at 9 months wouldn't even eat the store jarred kind. She only had homemade, which was very inconvenient when we were out of town for a family reunion! Luckily we were staying at an old friend's house and I had access to her blender, but I burned it out and had to buy her a new one LOL.
Well, you know what they say- if you don't parent your kids, someone else will and they will show no mercy either... That is what I tell my kids- listen to the ones that love you or you will be made to listen by ones that don't.
I also sometimes buy my child baby food as a dessert for school lunch. He likes it very much and is calm about the fact that sometimes his friends at school can make fun of him. In your case, you can put baby food in a small plastic container.

Why not buy apple sauce or
Why not buy apple sauce or some other fruit sauce or anything more appropriate for the child's age. This is not healthy. *wacko*
eta: this is an old, old post you dredged up - but I couldn't help responding to this rediculousness.
