Id actually forgotten about this, but Oh reminded me of it last night....

In the UK, the kids break up for 6 weeks worth of holidays in June. SD7 was basically living at her nans before theses holidays as BM couldnt be bothered to take her to and from school. One of SD's brothers would collect her from school and take her back to the nans.

Anyway, one night SS19 collected SD7 and as they were walking home, stopped to fuss a dog that was being walked. They also stopped to say hello to a friend of SS19's on the way back to the nans too. So because of these stops, SS19 and SD7 got back to the nans about 20 minutes later than normal. NOW, there is no massive issue with this, there was a little worry from the nan, but assumed nothing terrible. The above is perfectly acceptable in everybodys view......except that this isnt the story that was given for the lateness back to nans.....

OH has a phone call from SS17...."dad, dad, you never guess what!? SD7's teacher pulled SS19 today at school and said that SD7 had been fighting in school with a boy. She punched him and scratched him and everything dad!" (the boy in question was apparently a boy who had been picking on SD7 and various other children too)........Thats the excuse that was given for the 20 minutes of lateness.....SS19 then comes onto the phone to OH and CONFIRMS the story.....now OH said that in the background he can hear SD7 saying "no SS19, thats not what happened!!".....OH speaks to SD7 who says that what SS19 is saying is wrong.....OH calls me, tells me and thats that....until the following weekend when SD7 comes to stay. SD7 is upstairs playing with my BD7...I walk up the stairs and my BD comes out and says "mommy, you need to talk to SD7, she is upset because of SS19!"....I asked SD7 what was wrong and she proceeds o tell me about SS19's lie, and that SS19 said that she had to cover him cos of them being late home.....I asked why they had been late and she told me why.....so I tell OH........who then says "I know.....but what can I do.....I didnt want it talked about cos its upsets SD7....she told me about this on Tuesday (gone)"......I asked if he was going to say something had he said no......can you imagine? He is allowing his SS19 to lie and bring SD7 into that lie.....pathetic
