Boy pubirty help!

Is 10 years old almost 11 a normal time for boy puberty? I saw SS10 pitching a tent to a shampoo comercial. I don't think he saw me he threw a pillow over himself and I pretended I was reading something. I told DH I think its time for the man to man talk.

I know this is all natural and normal it just caught me off guard and by surprise. I think of my baby .I don't wanna think of my baby one day becoming a man. I kinda think 10 is way to young I thought puberty hit around 13-16 but I guess everyone is different. Just wow.

Though I've never seen my DS10 with a boner (and he thinks girls are gross), I did have to get him some deodorant because his little get sweaty, sweaty, sweaty.

It surprised me as I thought that would come later as well.

O no! BS10 has a serious crush on a girl, needs to wear deodorant on a regular basis, and I keep catching him with his hands in his pants. I did not need to read this!

My 4 yr old wakes up with morning wood almost every morning....my 1 yr old wakes up with it sometimes as well.

Ten is a normal age for that sort of stuff though. SS was ten when he started taking "long showers" and ten minute "naps" with the covers pulled up to his chin. We just ignore it and pretend he's fooling everyone.

It's always funny to me when I hear about a boy who normally has to be reminded about hygiene constantly and damn near forced into the shower with a cattle prod suddenly starts taking multiple showers per day and just hanging out in there, LOL. One of my friends was so relieved that her son had finally "matured and realized how important it was to keep clean". I just couldn't bring myself to break it to her that he had actually just matured enough to find out how much fun he could have with himself in the shower!

LadyF, in my day, the that Tap Shampoo (beer enriched shampoo that showed Kim Basinger in the shower) set the boys off in camp. Do you remember that?

yes unfortunately it's normal. SS's showers are sooooo freakin long that DH goes and bangs on the door and tells him to hurry up. I like to pretend I don't know what's going on...

EWWW!!! is THAT what's going on? SS14 has been doing this for years... takes like damn 30 minute showers! Same thing, DH would go and pound on the door and tell him to hurry up. I was like WTF is he doing in there, I can shave, shampoo, condition, soap up, rinse in less time than that. GROSS!!

Well, since BM2 gave my SS14 condoms and her blessing to have sex at age 11, I would say that 10 is not too young.
The thought of handing my BS3 condoms when he is 11 and condoning him having sex with some skanky middle school girl makes me want to vomit. But I guess by now I should know that BM standards are no where in the same galaxy as mine. (shrug)
