Freaking out

sc12's picture

Well I went to the dr today and found out at 5 months pregnant baby is down and ready to go. So no stress, dont over do it, and lots of fluids a rest. Well In about 4 weeks we are going to mil wedding. MIL and BM are best friends and live under one roof. I am just a little freaked out that she or both are going to pull something and put me in labor and make me have a premi baby. ahh.

SC 12 - this is when you have to put yourself first.YOu don't have to go to that wedding under the circumstances.Nobody can make you go.It is better to have a lovely relaxing time at home without nasty people who put your pregnancy under risk, hun.

but i do have to go. It is the first time in almost a year since we have seen my ss. He is 5 and needs his daddy and his step mommy. He keeps asking for us to come get him but with his school we havent been able to. so yeah we have to go.

I am sorry to hear this.

You now have a genuine reason to not be able to attend. If it's too stressful do NOT go.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Luckily doctors are very cautious these days, so hopefully it's just a precaution for you! Definitely don't add any extra stress regardless. With my second, his head down was early too (but dr said it can change a lot at that stage) and because one u/s showed the baby small, I needed weekly u/s's and NST's at the hospital until I gave birth. (Baby was actually fairly big by birth, but they refused to stop monitoring because of the one reading at 22 weeks!)

Best of luck!

Lucky for you that baby was small. Baby here is to big for the gestational period so they are not doing anything just yet. just rest, fluids, very little activity, and some kind of belly support belt.

No one can put you into labour unless you let them.

But seeing this is bound to be a stressful situation I would claim "Dr Ordered BedRest" for every spare minute including long functions that would mean excessive standing around like oooh.. your MILs wedding. Even not pregnant I wouldn't attend.

No, you aren't scared off, you just can't be there.

Don't go to the wedding. MIL should understand. Hell, even if she doesn't, she isn't the one you need to worry about right now
