Prom-gate and the Apologists

LOL. So Prom-gate is thankfully over. The kids were dressed in their 1920's finery and treated like rock stars. I got to see their limo pictures. I think it was an "actual" date...(grin) And two days later the glow is still shining and kiddo is over-the-moon happy, practically skipping. And showering and taking special care of her nails and general appearance. I might have bought her a cute skirt along the way of running errands.

Yesterday Toxic Troll aplogised (I told you so). And apparently the triangle is still goinng strong because it came out that at Easter, while we were out shopping, the mother had called Feral Forger, and drawn her into the drama and FF was texting and calling SD15/16 B/M nonstop, and wanting to "intercede" and talk her mother "off the ledge" and it was a successful triage.

So, Feral Forger SD23 got the power and control she likes. She "made her mother" see reason and apologise (?)

And Toxic Troll got the validation she needed. "Both my daughters love me and are concerned for my feelings even though Im being an a$$". Attention.

And SD B/M doesnt have anyone mad at her. She got her apology and so now they are back together as friends. Plus she had a great time at Prom.

Its a perpetual cycle with no end. I was being sarcastic with the "The End". Should have been "The End...?"

All three of them thrive on drama. I just hope you don't get sucked in again. At the end of the day B/M is always going to choose Toxic Troll, so stay disengaged or you'll end up being hurt/blamed.

Yes they do, but Im hoping B/M will tire of it and become MORE interested in her friends and a job and driving than their petty stupid "meeeeeeee" cries for attention.

But I think that Im so at "meh" that dont even give two hoots about THAT.

Crossing my fingers that someday, instead of "choosing" Toxic Troll she will coose - HERSELF.

I agree, the family thrives on drama. That's the way BM was and that's the way SD60 is now with her daughters. It's so tiring but it's good that you recignize the dynamic, makes it a little easier to deal with.

Now, on to the Mother's Day drama. Lol.
