Lets play a game - "My skid is so lazy...[insert example here]"

CLove's picture

My SD15 is so lazy...

She will only subsist all day on leftovers, when there is frozen meals in the freezer as well as sandwhich making food in the fridge purchased specifically for HER.

My SD15 is so lazy...

While subsisting on above referenced leftovers, she will heat them up in the container and then plop it on a paper towel (to avoid using a dish that will need to be washed) and then eat that with her hands (to avoid using cutlery that will need to be washed)

My SD15 is so lazy...

That she has figured out that if there are dishes in the sink already, that she can slip her plate in there and walk away, and the "dish fairy" will do it because 'POOF' dishes are now done!

My SD15 is so lazy...

Her clothes are starting to stand on their own while she lays in bed all weekend, jabbering on the phone...

My SD15 is so lazy...

her only weekend excercise is going to the bathroom! Not kidding!

My SD15 is so lazy...

Her bearded dragon is unholdable -and they are supposedly the FRIENDLIEST of pets. The most DOCILE...

My SD15 is so lazy...

Im going to go CRAZY if I have to deal with a third week of LAZY!

....I get it.  I think my YSD is not inherently lazy, but she doesn't like to help with things or do things she doesn't want to do or are not her idea in the first place. And ALL of it's on DH.

I don't do her dishes she leaves in the sink, I don't clean up anything after her (she's pretty good with this), I don't touch the bathroom, I don't plan things and above all I make NO COMMENT to DH. Because he'll just defend her.

Her brand new trampoline has gone untouched for two weeks now, even with beautiful fall weather. Same for her new bike.

I cannot keep my comments to myself!!!

But Im starting to more and more..

It takes practice.  I think I've mentioned before that you need an internal voice - "Keep your mouth shut" or "Say nothing, say nothing, say nothing..." when you get that itch.  I also find leaving the room extremely helpful.

Mine is so lazy he thinks he's going to get a 6-figure job that requires no work and only a high school diploma.  Probably because he watches lazy BM make scads of money for very little work.

Oh well, not my problem!

"SS" 15 (son of a man I'm dating who I'm detaching from on the daily) is suuuuuch an entitled piece of work (along with his father) that he thinks he's going to pass a electrician trade program after having failed 8th grade and being a lazy bones. He thinks this program (he's 10 days in) is going to be easier and that by simply showing up he's going to pass and get a high paying job. And stbx just says "he likes it! He's going to do great" and it's like wow, you rly don't see what a mess you've made do you. Gross

Got a 19 years SS..the Great White Rapper (GWR) that thinks a multi million dollar music deal will land in his lap and he will be RAP STAR.  You know despite not knowing anything about music (can't read it and can't play it) and just lifts music off the internet and talks over it.

He gonna be RICH Y'ALL...

tog redux's picture

Yep. My SS is 21. He was the same at 15 and 19 as you two are describing. Now his plans are less obviously far-fetched but still unrealistic.  He's moved onto "too good to be true" job postings that never pan out.

She takes a dirty dish from the sink to re-use it, rather than washing the dishes and putting them away so has clean ones.

Rather than open the drawer and and get a new piece of aluminum foil, she will find a used one from the garbage and use that one.

If she misses the trash can trying to toss a tissue, she leaves it there on the floor instead of picking it up and putting it in the trash.

She can't be bothered to close cabinet doors, turn off lights, or close windows (even with the AC blasting).

She can't be bothered to unplug the iron after using it.  And the fact that she uses an iron is pretty shocking to begin with.

She gives away all her stuff whenever she moves because she doesn't want to rent and load a U-Haul.  Then she gets new stuff whereever she moves to and the cycle repeats.

She leaves leftovers out in the open without putting them into containers.  And eats them for days.  Her aunt finally gave her containers.

Ah, so glad Bratty McBratFace is someone else's nightmare now.

CLove's picture

thats just knarly..

caninelover's picture

She is too lazy to park straight in the driveway and was banished to guest parking.

Yep she sure is something...

hereiam's picture

Does she not realize that it takes more energy to dig through the trash and and uncrinkle used foil than just getting new from the drawer? Plus, it's disgusting.

The leftover thing and eating off of dirty dishes... I have no words.

tog redux's picture

Yeah, I was thinking she was being "green" by your first few examples - then it just got really disgusting.

halo1998's picture

yuck...and no way would I or my dogs allow food to stay out in the open.  Just no...

hereiam's picture

then eat that with her hands (to avoid using cutlery that will need to be washed)

What kinds of food are we talking about? That is just gross and unsanitary.

CLove's picture

I saw her eat chow mein with a fork yesterday. It can go from chicken to steak to whatever...

Can't partake as my SDs aren't lazy. They take after their dad. They always work and they are self sufficient. Mind you one is ex felon and currently a stripper, but she does work long hours. Ha My own DD is kind of lazy though. Hah

In my past step life my exSDs were very lazy. One was too lazy to take a shower or wash her face or unclog her toilet etc etc she lived with us and was a straw that broke camel's back.  But she is a doctor now. Roll my eyes. I'll take a felon stripper over her. Well not really, the stripper is nuts too but in a different way

My SD is so lazy that she has begun throwing things away because she can't be bothered to put them away. DH has had to start going through the trash bag! Things found so far:

socks and underwear (no holes, not even very dirty, she just could be bothered to put them in her laundry bag!)

pens, pencils, and other perfectly good stationary

Silverware, seriously, the trash can is opposite the sink and the dishwasher!! How hard is it to turn around?!

Clothes she now deems "not cool" that she bought 3 months ago (we have a donations bag, she knows where it is, yet they are in the trash!)

Cover1W's picture

My OSD would do this too!  Not her clothes but plates, cups, utensils, etc. I was furious because I'm certain she threw out a mug of mine that was a gift from someone overseas and irreplacable.

that she gets a dog and doesn't want to take care of it and then drops if off at North Koreas.  Rinse, Wash, Repeat.  North Korea now has FIVE DOGS!  Animals are not a life time committment to her.

that she rolls out of bed in her jammies, puts shoes on and goes to school.  Bed head, jammies and all.  She does however put her fake eyelashes on though.   They are put on over the previous days makeup though.  And yet SD cannot figure out why her skin won't clear up.

SD is so lazy she to will through away all kinds of stuff.  I have to go trash picking after she "cleans".  She throws away everything just doesn't want to put away...that included a laptop once.

One of my SS' is so lazy that he just sleeps wherever someone allows him to crash so he doesn't have to get a job or have responsibilities.

DarkStar's picture

She'd wear the clothes that she was wearing to school the next day to bed to "save time"
Chore was to load/unload the dishwasher, didn't put soap in it for the wash.
Would pull her jeans/pants off with the underwear still attached and put them in the washer/dryer that way
Wouldn't sort her laundry, just washed everything in one load, whites/darks/jeans/towels. Anything that was white was a dingy grey
SOOOOOO glad she moved out to her sister's place this summer!

Cover1W's picture

OSD was so lazy she'd either wear the same clothes from Friday - Sunday OR she'd never get dressed on the weekend.

She'd never ever do laundry so was ok sleeping on sheets that had not been cleaned for 4+ months (I think it was 6 in the end - pink sheets were gray and literally had to be thrown out). Threw everything on the floor insteat of putting it away, OR put dirty stuff in her dresser drawers or closet to get rid of it. This included dirty dishes. Don't get me started on how long she wore underwear - DH and I found some after she moved out and it was nauseating.

She didn't do anything, literally, around the house so there's nothing to say there.
