OT- how big does she think I am?

I inherited my dads families height (which just means I'm average) and shape (which luckily means I don't carry as much weight in my stomach and hips as the other, sturdier side of the family could have bestowed on me).

My mom said she had a pair of pants that were too small for her and maybe they'd fit me. I figured she'd unearthed some really old pair. Nope, recent. Three sizes bigger than I wear and a petite (so too short). She said if they don't fit to just donate them. Okay. Maybe she is so short I look like a giant?

I have come to the conclusion moms are weird like this.  My mom does some strange size stuff too and my MIL does the same to her daughters. Moms being moms Smile

But also female relatives on that side, too. Weirdly my dad has excellent taste and can even eyeball a piece of clothing and choose the right size.

I am 5ft tall and usually wear and M petite in tops. My mom is 5'8 and wears an XL - right before her surgery (double masectomy) she gave me this giant bag of shirts (all very expensive, I could never afford her wardrobe) and told me I should keep them. I said thanks, hugs and love you and after I left I was just like WTH?? Does she think I am about to gain 50 lbs and 6 inches? LOL

Mom's are crazy, someone at Goodwill hit the jackpot though!
