LOL - I need alone time
Yes, we are stuck at home. Now it's just me and DH. I realized the other night that I need some ALONE time. Like, no one in the house. I got a teeny, tiny bit last night for about 2 minutes. DH took the dog for a walk while I taught an online fitness class. I had about 2 minutes to chat when it was over before we all hung up and DH walked in right after.
It seems silly but I could really use some alone time. We have a separate garage and I went in there to work out the other day and it felt great. I may need to make that a habit.
DH is not and has never been an alone time type person. He says he needs alone time but he doesn't know, like what really full alone time other people crave. He was alone for like half an hour and that was enough. I'm talking alone time like 2-3 full days. Right now I'm actually jealous of my mom who is alone in her apartment and jealous of my dad in his house. My dad is doing fine, my mom is going crazy being alone. I would be fine. Especially if I had my cats if I needed a companion.

I totally get what you are
I totally get what you are saying. DH has to work a 24 hr shift every 3 days right now. A friend of mine was like "Isn't that sooo hard?" -- I was like "eeehhh... nah."
LOL I love my husband so much but all of our stress levels are through the roof with everything going on in both our jobs, more crap with SS, my kids traveling, not having any certainty period... My kids are with their dad until this weekend, SS only comes out of his hole to eat so it's not like he is actually there. I am cool with a few nights where I can binge watch my stupid shows and drink a cocktail and go to bed ridiculously early!
I need a lot of alone time to
I need a lot of alone time to re-charge also. The good thing is DH and I typically are very 'together' type of people. But YES there are times he gets on my last nerve, I send him out w/the dogs lol...he also will take naps sometimes so that helps too. My sons are here but they are typically holed up in their rooms most of the time. They are 18 and 20.
I totally get this.
I totally get this.
Me too! I'm very social but
Me too! I'm very social but one alone time day would be GREAT. I get frustrated, even when things are "normal" as my work is very people oriented and I'm always helping/doing there and doing it all at home is exhausting. This whole week YSD has been here too and she NEVER leaves, even to go outside. The weather has been great. She comes out only when DH and I are done with work and is always there. I get no alone time with DH and he spends his time with her. I do get out in the mornings for a long walk or run and that helps too.
So last night I had a lovely glass of wine, watched a German show, alone. It was GREAT.
I plan a repeat for tonight.
I'll trade someone. I've been
I'll trade someone. I've been alone all week and I'm going crazy... lol.
This is totally normal. I am
This is totally normal. I am blunt and let my SO know I need to be alone sometimes. I lock myself in the bedroom with a glass of wine and watch 90 Day Fiance.
I hear ya! Every year, DH
I hear ya! Every year, DH takes our daughter skiing for a week without me. I LIVE for that week all year! And every time, he stops on his way ouy the door to ask me "are you sure you don't mind us leaving you alone?" for the 20th time in 3 days. Believe me, I can't get them out the door fast enough! I have the added bonus of living out in the country so no noisy neighbours either!
I get legitimately excited
I get legitimately excited when DH has work travel because it's the few days each year where I am GUARANTEED to have the house to myself. I tend to be the one who goes out on weekends or visits family at night, so DH gets the house alone quite a bit. I don't because DH is a homebody and doesn't want to leave his nest.
But IT'S SO GREAT when I can have it all to myself. I can order the food I want without compromise, I can watch whatever trash I want to watch, I can take a 2 hour bath. Oh, it's heaven!
So yes, I get it. I love having my husband around, but those few days of not having to worry about anyone or anything else are bliss.
