Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

You could take offense to
You could take offense to everything if you really look. OP meant it in reference to dealing with coddled, babied, non-parented skids that make our lives less than enjoyable.
I mean golden uterus could be offensive to those who had a hysterectomy and can never have children or we could infer that you're only a woman if you have a uterus;
We could stop using stepHELL as it makes a reference to religion. Heaven/Hell...nothing to joke about, right?
Heck these days we should refrain from saying son or daughter as it's nearly a crime to assume one's sexual identity.
Or we could just take the reference for exactly as it was, all the while remembering that really bad things happen and it's a unfortunate but in no way are any of the references making light of anyone's suffering at any point in history, present or future...
AMEN!
AMEN!
