In the last year since her accident, Princess 20 has dumped the 27 year old booty call boyfriend. When he kept harassing her, she even got campus security involved, and told him the next time, she'd call the city police and get a restraining order.

Her high school sweetie (I used to call him "Stepping Stone") goes to the same college. Shortly before they had broken up months before her accident, he had borrowed money from her. Since the accident, she has been able to get him to repay the $350 he owed. He still owes a bit more, and she told him she would take him to small claims court to get the rest- or tell his mother. ha-Ha. He told her she'd have the rest by the first day of classes in August.

She declared a major. After seeing how Gibby has struggled with a weight issue for the last few years, and how hard Gibby and I have worked to correct that, she has decided to become a pediatric nutritionist. She meets next week with a local nutritionist to get some advice on career options.

She spent the day yesterday FINALLY boxing up all her childhood and high school memories. She says this will be her last summer at home, and she wants to know it's put away safe and not thrown away.

Sure, her summer hasn't been fun; her ankle did not heal properly, and she had another surgery 3 weeks ago. but she's healing really well. I got her off the pain medicines as quick as I could, and flushed the strongest ones away as soon as she didn't need them. She hates the cast, but knows she needs to do everything the doctor says this time around, or she could be crippled forever.

We've had a lot of heart to heart talks. I feel like MY child, the kid I raised and loved, is back after a 5 year vacation. And I'm enjoying (almost) every minute of it!
