So my BS with stbx-H turned 2yo yesterday and the birthday party is tonight. So I called around and visited different places, booked this party in advance, invited the little 2yos in BS2's class at daycare, ordered a cake, and paid for all of this, and of course stbx-H is johnny come lately as always trying to ride my coat tails asking me today how much everything cost and offering to pay half and pickup stuff now , but I just told him not to worry about it and just get BS2 a gift since this party is my gift, and of course H hadn't got BS2 a gift yet and his birthday was yesterday!

Anyway, so then he asks about who's coming and I tell him I filled all 10 guest spots and I hope no one shows up that didn't rsvp. So then he asks if I included SD12 and I informed him that per the rules of the place where I'm holding the party the parties are only for children 10 and under. Well of course he was uspet and like well what's SD12 supposed to do then? Then I said I don't know and he hung up.

REALLY? I mean this is BS2's party not SD12's so who cares what she does?! Besides that, I get so tired of SD12 being able to be treated like a child when she wants to be a child and an adult when she wants to be an adult. Whenever we go out to eat SD12 always seems to manage to remind us that she's too old for the kid's menu now at most restaurants since that was the excuse we always used to not order the more expensive items from the adult menu she always wanted but never managed to finish eating. If she's "too old" to save money and eat from the kids menu at a restaurant, then certainly she's "too old" to participate in a party full of mostly 1-2yos! Further, since I disengaged a while back I hold my tongue when SD12 is doing a lot of things I wouldn't allow if she were mine even though she's doing these things in my house that I bought and pay for without contribution from H ! Finally, my children have never once participated in any of SD12's parties unless they took place during stbx-H's time, and even those little parties only happened because I planned them and paid for them out of my own pocket , so if SD12's parents want her to participate in a party like the ones my kids have well then I suggest they plan her one and pay for it themselves because I am so done with this crap!
