Things that make you go hmmmm.
Back story….SS lies. A LOT. This is a fact that is not missed by most that meet him. It is like he HAS to be talking so he spouts out crap even if it is true or not. SS also is terrible at school. He nearly flunked out of every grade in his school career. He barely made it into the military and failed a few courses he tried to take when in the military.

Tempeltons post got me to thinking. So here is my list of how to survive being a SM. (as best as you can). Feel free to add or take away.

FIRST!!!! Do not live with or marry a man until you have dated for two years at least. IMHO…it is best to not live with or marry until all kids are out of the house or at least almost out of HS.

2). Do not try to fix his parenting or his kids.

3). Don’t try to fix skids eating habits.

4). Don’t combine finances until kids are out of the house.

So SS is finally getting out of the military tomorrow! 6 years ago, I would have told you it would never have lasted but it did. He was almost kicked out a few times but now he is out.

So what is the biggest lie your DH as told your skid to….

1). Try to make skid like him/his house, better than BM?
2). Try to make skid think skid is gods gift to people.

I have tons of examples but will only give one answer per each…

1). When SS was about 10-11, DH told SS that if he would come live with DH, he would not have to go to school anymore.
