SS16 just accused me of treating him like a doormat ahhhh

While I was sitting here checking in on the recent logs and my SS16 came in after swimming at the pool for the last three hours.

While he was gone I had discussed with my H how the entire day ss16 was being a typical male, left out his breakfast bowl, didn't put the milk away, left the door open when he left for "summer school" because he kept "forgetting" to turn in his homework for english and failed, came home for lunch and left spagetti sauce all over, spagetti in his bowl which he put in the sink and added water to it, Oh I forgot He did bring down his laundry but "forgot" to load the washer, "forgot to bring down his basket after I had dried and folded/hung up all of his laundry - leaving him to only put way his undergarment, "forgot" to let me know that I had a phone call while I stepped out leaving my grandmothers pills at the drug store after they were closed because she called to see what was taking me so long, stepped over his 3 pairs of shoes for an entire 2 days which I finally began to place in the middle of the stairs so that way he would have to continue to step over them along with each time I saw him walk up the stairs I would say "pick up your shoes please", left his razor and personal items all over the sink including the stubble, drug out all of the hunting supplies and left them all over the garage, let the dogs in the garage "because" it was raining - they have a shed and dog house, so they chewed everthing up, left cups and bowls in his room, and I hate having to feel like I am nagging, I swear I was looking for one thing that he followed through with today just so that I could give him some positive feedback but nothing!

SS has had no chores today, the other kids did those because he was gone to school, did not offer to help when he saw either my husband or myself working on projects. Said he was tired when he got home but not tired enough to not go to the pool.

H agreed that we would talk to ss together because ss continues to undermind most of what we tell him. when he asked to go to the pool, I said no and he then in front of me got my H to allow him to go. I of course was upset. When ss got back he talked to him alone and it was not until I insted that he talked to ss with me there, that is when ss claimed that He was tired of getting treated like a doormat. He has not done a thing today, not even picking up after himself!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the reason that God has our wonderful sweet children turn into teen ages is because that is the only way that he can get us to let them go. lol

Teenagers... can't wait. Wink

Seriously though, I'm glad you have both decided to talk to him together. He needs to see that your H backs you up, and H needs to make that more clear if he isn't currently.

Sorry it's been such a rough day!
