My dog is at the vet having a mast cell tumor surgically removed.

She's a good girl and prayers are needed for a clean removal. Vet said pretty much you have one chance to get it all for best outcome. 

Atia protected me from my abusive ex-husband when she was only 1 year old - but already 90lbs; large for a female German Shepherd. He hit me once and she got inbetween. She bit the shit out of his arm and scared him back and he left my house for the last time. In the process she did get a couple hits herself - but she willingly took them for me. 

She deserves all the god vibes possible.

UPDATE:

Thank you all for your well wishes. Atia made it through surgery and is already up and around, even managing to escape her run once, lol. There is not a crate that can keep her and the vet had to use some ingenuity to secure the door from future breakouts. She can open door knobs too, which can be trying when you are using the bathroom... 

The vet is pretty confident he got it all, but will send it to pathology to be sure. Other than the tumor, which is rare for her breed, he said she is in excellent health. The incision is about 8in long and fairly deep, but will fill in. 

I will be picking up my girl in the morning.
