Give away XBox?

Is it going too far to actually GIVE AWAY my SS X-Box?

Kid is ungrateful. Leaves dishes, doesn’t do what he is asked to do. DH and I have had it. X-Box has been taken away numerous times before. Is it going too far to actually give it away to make a point/statement?

Well, it happened. I finally lost it! And boy did I ever! Did I go too far?

That is exactly where I am.  Last night, I lost it.  Now, you all don't know me, but I am 99% of the time a kind, sweet person.  But, I lost it last night.  SS had been asked by his dad to clean up the basement.  We came home from a party last night only to find that the basement had not been cleaned and SS was in bed.  Dad woke up SS and told SS to clean the basement.  SS had an attitude and started back-talking dad.  That's when I totally lost it.  I had had enough.  The comments the weekend before and now this.  I yelled - Do NOT talk to your father like that!  Now get over here and sit

SS wants to move to Texas to "Be with his family". Really? Did he just say that?!?

We were out to breakfast last weekend and SS (15) says: "Yeah, after highschool I'm going to go to college in Texas.  Texas is where I belong.  With family".   Silently in my head --- Wow- did that just come out of your mouth?  Apparently it did because it just keeps getting better and better...

Can I tell my SS he can't go with us places?

My stepson will ask to go places with us.  The ONLY reason that he asks to go places with us is because he always asks to get something.

Here are examples:

Going to Target - "Oh, I want to go".  Get to Target.  "I'm going to go look at the games, you'll buy me this right"?  NO, I'm not buying anything other than what I came for.  *throws fit*

Going to grocery store - "Oh, I want to go"  Get to grocery store and he starts just putting things in the cart.  Without asking.  I take them out. *throws fit*

Entitled, selfish 15 year old isn't getting the Christmas they are expecting. Opinions?

My boyfriend has a son. 15 years old now.  The last two Christmas' I have made sure that he has had a fantastic Christmas!  Fantastic meaning - X-box, games, gaming chair, 70 inch flat screen TV, Star Wars light saber (the real deal) clothes ... basically everything that was on his list(s).  You know what?  That has gotten me no-where.  He is not grateful at all. Not one bit.  He has an attitude that I am his cash cow (I am to blame for allowing it to happen.
