my friend grosses me out with the Disney Dad facebook updates
This drives me nuts and I can't complain about it to anyone else. So, I have this friend from work. He's divorced - well, he's been separated for like three years but finally got divorced a couple of months ago, because the BM had him by the balls. He has a 5 year-old daughter. If I didn't know any better, I would think from his Facebook updates that he is dating his daughter.
His Facebook feed is nothing but photos of his daughter and photos of them together. That's not a bad thing in itself but the captions are always like "On a date with my baby" or "The love of my life" or stuff like that. I guess it wouldn't bother me so much if he wasn't constantly complaining about how he can't keep a girlfriend. He'll be dating somebody but when he has his daughter EOW he told me he won't even call or text the girl until his daughter leaves because that's "their time." Oh lord. Big shock why those relationships didn't last.
He posted something recently about how his daughter asked if he had a girlfriend and he said no. Mini-wife replied that she was glad and that she would be very upset if he had one. He seemed to think this was cute or something. I must have had a horrified look on my face because he was like, "What?" I asked how he felt about her saying that and he said it concerned him and he never wanted her to feel like she wasn't #1 in his life. Knowing what I know from this site, I just wanted to barf. This is one of those guys who is proud of the fact that his 5 year old daughter has him "wrapped around her finger." I just know this girl is going to make some poor woman's life hell someday.
He's told me several times that his daughter prefers to be at his house over her mom's, because at his house there are no rules and they have fun all weekend and she will never have any chores or responsibilities there. AHHHH.
The other gross thing is that in almost all the photos... she is sucking her thumb. He will even make comments about how adorable it is. This girl is 5 going on 6 and he's making no effort to stop it.... what?
The whole mini-wife thing just weirds me out. SO got pissed at me one time because I told him that if he had a daughter instead of a son, I wouldn't be dating him. Well, sorry. It's a miracle I'm dating anyone with a child in the first place but there is no way I could deal with some of the stepdaughter issues I've read about on here. Sometimes I feel like telling this guy about this site or at least give him a different point of view on this behavior, but I really don't think he will get it. He thinks he's a great Dad. His intentions are in the right place of course, and he's involved in his kid's life which is great... but jesus.

I am so traumatized by step
I am so traumatized by step hell that every time I see a man with a daughter anywhere (store or whatever) I just think OMG DISNEY DAD!! This one sounds over the top. Lucky women who figured it out quickly and ran away.
I would direct him to this
I would direct him to this site, just for viewing. Men are idiots and need direction.
He is one of those dads that
He is one of those dads that should NEVER bring a serious relationship into his life. He is not ready and not very many women would put up with being 2nd probably 3rd because he probably still kisses BM's ass too.
Oh Man I agree...he needs
Oh Man
I agree...he needs a lesson in how to not raise a mini-wife.

OH and both Chef's oldest
OH and both Chef's oldest half brother and said half brother's son REMAIN single as they are child worshippers.
Oldest half brother (now in his seventies) has been divorced twice (kids from both ex-wives) and lost his long term live in GF to cancer. I wondered why they didn't get married and I heard (from him) that when the GF passed, he fought with HER grown children over the house that was in HER name because he did work on the house. Sound familiar?
Somehow he got to stay in it.
Bleck! That is all...

I used to think that too. .
I used to think that too. . .what a GOOOOD father. Boy was I wrong! As far as the "woman repeller" goes, I guess we should also be looking for perhaps a massive right forearm?
