BM involved in a Hit and Run

So I was poking around on Clerk of Courts site and found out BM has a court date for a Hit and Run accident. It's a criminal misdemeanor. It happened on a day when she had the Skids and they were in the car. I remember them laughing about how mom got into an accident and drove away (I didn't listen much as they say a lot of things, half of it is lies). I also remember her pulling up with a banged up car.

Does anyone know how serious this is? The court date is in a month. Wondering if she possibly could go to jail for something like this.

IF she fails to show up to court that is ok too. Moms don't have to

SHES a 'single mom right?" I bet she forgottttttttttttt. Bless her heart.

Serious now:
If she doesn't show UP to court you may find the Judge may suspend her license and send notice to the DMV...IF that is true, she is now driving on a suspended license AND left the scene of an accident.
She will be ordered again to court and read the riot act THEN ordered to pay fines. In the end the case will get dropped after she pays up. Couple hundred bucks.

IF she caused damage to the other persons car she will have to deal with that thru her insurance company. Mr. Insurance Company will not like that she bolted off. They may end up dropping her.

I wonder if she was drinking??? Maybe that is why she fled. Remember if there is nothing to hide, hide nothing.

Here is more info. She totalled a car about a month before this one, She didn't pay off the loan for that one, that was also in the courts site, she's being sued for the reminder of that loan. I'm pretty sure she has no insurance. This woman has a history of not paying anything ever. She thinks she is above it all.

I'm going to keep my eyes open and check the site after that court date, if it says she is driving without a license, I'm going to be making some calls to the police department.

Not sure if she was drinking, probably just texting as she was driving as the kids say she does all the time. She was driving them to school when it happened

I would be most concerned about the kids thinking it is normal, ok and even funny to drive away from the scene of an accident. As well as if she is licensed and insured to drive. Apart from that BM’s court issues are her own to deal with.

This is just par for the course. She is a horrible mom and influence. When her Fiance dumped her, she was living in his house and before they moved out, encouraged the girls to stuff crayons down the heating vents and plug up drains, etc. She took his credit cards and charged them up, laughing about it with the girls.

Obviously when the girls came to our house laughing about this, we told them how wrong it all was. I even FB messaged the Fiance and told him about the cards!!
