Vacations and Skids
We go on a week long family vacation every year. This July will be the first trip where I will be somewhat disengaged from the two SKs (12 and 16 at that time). Also going is obviously my FDH and my 3 biokids (8, 14, and 17 at that time. In general, the kids all love each other and I normally have no issues w SKs until recently.
What do you all do? Do you go? Not go? Separate vacations? Go but try to spend time apart?
Really only FSD15 could be a snotty problem and frankly, I love my one vacation a year and could give a crap if she's a brat. I don't want to take separate vacations but if I have to to avoid the drama, I will. Or hell, the kid can stay home with Mommy.
Any suggestions?

Skids have ruined every
Skids have ruined every single vacation that I have taken them on. The sad thing is that since I make more money, I pay for the majority of our trips. Maybe they know I paid for it, so they try to make it horrible. Or maybe they want to take a vacation alone with their dad. Like that will ever happen. It is sad because BM won't take them anywhere, so my vacations are the only ones they have ever been on. After the last vacation, I refuse to go on vacation with the skids. DH is welcome to go on his own. If I want to go somewhere, I let DH know. If he wants to go, he helps pay for it. If not, I go alone with me and my BS.
i always went and operated
i always went and operated the same way I did when we were home. i paid her no mind, spent not a dime on her, didnt interact with her. it was business as usual
It sounds like even though
It sounds like even though your SD is bratty, she doesn't ruin your vacation, is that correct? If so, and it isn't a financial burden to take the whole family, I would go with skids.
But, it is definitely "situational" Ha, get it??? I went with xSO and skids ONCE on vacation. Oldest SD ruined it for everyone so I said "never again" and stuck to it.
