O/T : Psuedo-married & Dating
I just had to share with you all. A friend of mine is single and of course dating. She met this guy who is "divorced". However, he and the ex and the 16-year-old son all have dinner together every night. (Yes, like a family.) Then he goes to his apartment at night. They had a few dates before this information came out. If this wasn't bad enough, what truly blows my mind is he truly cannot understand why my friend has a problem with these family dinners and told him they're not on the same page (She's a lot nicer then me).

OT - Men and their '"caves"
I remember vaguely reading somewhere that men and women see quality time much differently. To a woman quality time - is spending time interacting with one another - connecting. To a man, quality time - is time spent with a loved one in their vacinity being happy. I will admit to using this to my advantage - want SO's attention quickly - leave the house. He could be puttering downstairs all day long, but I pull out of the driveway and all of the sudden I've hit his radar. Chances are he's calling me before I hit the corner.

exDH & new SO behavior...
So Ladies,
DH and I separated last year. I am now dating a friend of mine I've known a long time and he was in my wedding, as he and exDH were friendly as well. Friend also teaches DS14 guitar. I am alt a loss with the way exDH and SO interact. SO is gregarious by nature by is overly so, with exDH. ExDH is just as gregarious to SO (and not given that way by nature). It is all man hugs, fist bumps, etc.

A warning ...
A warning ....
For those of you who think you have a good relationship with your Skid, please do not be fooled. My SD20 has legally changed her name to her Stepdad's name. DH is heartbroken. Stepdad is one of the several men BM cheated with. The worse, in fact, given he was DH's friend and college roommate at the time. DH & I have never bad mouthed BM for this or any of the other one million things she did to make SD's life a disaster...

Ridiculously Defiant Child - Begging for Advice
Ladies, I need help as a BM. DS12 is driving me insane - deliberately defiant. What is worse is I know some of the stubbornness comes from me. He was sneaking extra time on video games, so he lost that privilege. Then he snuck on again when we were not home. So we locked the game system in our bedroom. He broke into our locked bedroom (& Damaged the door) to sneak on again. The Xbox was removed from the house. So, he is now grounded from all electronics and outside. He sneaks his laptop into his room & sneaks on-line. I remove the internet password from his computer.
