2nd week of summer visitation is underway

DH and I had a discussion and attempted to get on the same page with rules and consequences. SD15 and SD12 would both be grounded this week as a result of their behaviors. DH put in the effort to write up a rule sheet and listed the consequences for breaking the rules. I was pleased to see he included being respectful as a rule. SD15 has a habit of ignoring me and walking away anytime I say something she doesn't like (clean up your mess, you can't have more dessert, etc.)

Summer visitation is exhausting!

We are wrapping up the first week of summer visitation. I don't think I'll survive the rest of summer break.

DH likes to think of himself as a hard ass, tough dad. Truth is, he's gullible and easily manipulated by SD15. I try to stay as disengaged as possible until it affects my house or my kids... which seems to be pretty often. DH doesn't seem to realize that when he walks out the door for work, all the rules go out the door too. Guess who works from home and gets to deal with the fall out all freakin day?!?! Lucky me!
