Lies vs. The Truth

sigh246's picture

So, my stepson, who has proven time and again to be a liar and thief is at it again. But this time, he went into my purse!!!! What a violation!! At only 11, he has a long history of lies and deception. When I pointed out that items were missing from my purse to my husband, he asked his son, who (DUH obviously) denied it. So what does my wonderful husband do/say? Questions me further and tells his son 'I hope you're telling the truth'. REALLY!?!?!?! I see prison visits in his future....

It just blows my damn mind that ANYONE would EVER even have to lock away their belongings in their OWN HOME!!!! And on top of that that our dh's are so damn oblivious, mostly on purpose, of their precious spawns lies and bullshit! BLOWS MY MIND! :O

I don't have a filing cabinet at home so I'm looking to buy a safe, until then it's in my car or on me. When I get the safe, my husband is to see it everyday as a reminder of what I now have to do...

Been there and I caught my SD pulling her crap on tape. If you can get a nanny cam or anything like that then hide it from everyone until you catch him stealing on tape. Point the theft out to your husband giving him a chance to believe his son again as the ss denies it then have your husband watch the footage in private. His jaw will drop and go from there.

I'm certain your right and that would be a different set of problems. My first DH would be guilty for that, glad him and I divorced.. Wink
