No Show
I am very angry and disappointed in Sd16 today. It was my BS (her 1/2 brother) party today for his tenth birthday. He asked me if we could invite SD, I reluctantly said OK, it is after all, his party, not mine. DH calls her two days ago and asks that she come. She said she would be there and was looking forward to seeing her brothers. NO SHOW / NO CALL. After the party was over, and all the guests had gone, DH called her to ask why she didn't show up. It was about 4 pm by this time (party was at noon). She was still in bed!!!! UGHHHHH. BM has successfully turned this child into herself. My son was so disappointed, as he hasn't seen her since she moved out in Feb (except briefly one day in May). What a self-centered child. I know all teenagers are self-centered, but this reeks of BM.
Not only did SD not show up, my own mother didn't show either. In her slight defense, she has dementia. I phoned her last week and told her what time to be at my house. She said she wrote it down, but apparently she forgot to do that too. So, when 12 came and went and my brother showed up without her, (he usually brings her), I knew she forgot. She has NEVER forgotten him, as he is her "favorite boy". I am so saddened by this, because it goes deeper than just this incident. (you can read more about that on myspace) BS was very saddened by her not showing up, more so than about SD. Poor guy, I felt so bad for him. But, overall it went well and a lot of other people who love him were here and so were most of his friends. I just still cannot believe he is 10.....where did the time go?
