Now SD 21 is living with us.   SS has continued his nocturanl feeding schedule with a twist. He's awake during the day with periodic naps throughout.   SD joins us for meals.

About a month ago DH smelled pot in SS car and banned him from driving for a month and said if he catches him again he will sell the car. Its the second time he's been caught .    I figure if its in your car you were just smoking it or someoone just smoking it around you in your car.  Needless to say that stopped the going out at 9/10 at night to get you guessed it pot.

Coronavirus

We're pretty much shelter in place, go out only for emergencies , work and limit contact groups to no more than five.  We're also encouraged not to visit friends in their houses etc.    I think we all know the drill.

Anyway,  we're all working from home.   I go out for essential groceries , his dad needs to go to the warehouse to pick up the machines he is working on and drop of fthe ones that are done.  All the kids are home, my son is doing his school work and life goes on.

Some understanding -maybe

It's day five of Spring Break and I've hardly seen him though we are home most of the time due to a lot of closing and cancellations .   I've seen him in passing briefly as he emerges for food.   He went to pick up his first and last check for a long time and got the impression that the resturarant he was working at was closing permanently.  Called his dad in a panic.  Turned out he misunderstood we are deep cleaning the resuturant since we can't serve customers in the dining room.   Go figure.

This week

SS worked Saturday evening from 5 to 10.   Came home with dinner and went to bed.  He was up relatively early on Sunday monring which was a surprise.   When his dad and I went to lunch I suggested perhaps SS would like to join us since he missed out on going to lunch with his dad to celebreate his birthday.

The Job Starts

Sam2's picture

SS starts his job this evening .  He is actually up , cleaned out his room and is helping his dad paint his room.  They are actually talking.  Well his dad is talking to him.   SS took yesterday off from school to catch up on school work.   We shall see.   He is working in one of the fanciest resturants in town as a dish washer / food prep person.   His cough should be interesting.  I'm not sure I want to eat in a resturant that has workers constantly coughing and sneezing as I sit here venting hearing him cough and sneeze as he has all week.   The vents in my house do not mask sound and I

Sunday was DH birthday.   My kids went with their grandparents and DH and I went out to lunch.  However, since it was his dad's birthday , he called down to SS to see if he wanted to go with us.  No answer, he was sleeping so we left.  Had a nice lunch and came back home.  His dad puttered around the house doing odds and ends jobs that needed done.  Garage organizing, etc.  SS never came up , no contact nothing.   Dinner time came and went, nothing.   Monday morning.  School calls, SS was absent for morning attendance.    He left at 7:15 so where was he, he told dad he was late for first ho

Suspicions

He continues to do things that makes me wonder.     One morning bright and early, his dad wasn't even dressed yet and the sun was just rising he comes up and speaks directly to his dad, no acknowlegement .   He asked his dad if he was going to be working on his car that day.  His dad replied yes but later .  SS replied that he needed to clean out his car and proceded to get a trash bag and go out to his car , two minutes later comes back in and goes right downstairs with said trash bag.  Comes back up and is seen wiping down the seat of his car.  The car was right in my field of vision from

Disengagement going good

Well SS went out and got himself a job at a local restaurant.   He's so into the culinary arts that the resturant owner was impressed. Now if they can work out a schedule around school and his constant sleeping.  Of course dad's connection to the restaurant helped I'm sure.  Now he can start helping out financially.  Buy your own gas kid.
