IF YOU SAW YOUR CHILD 60 DAYS OUT OF THE YEAR WOULD YOU GIVE ONE DAY UP???

Well if you know my story, then you know I am SM and my DH has placement of his son 5, after 3 years of court, it went from split custody and split placement to split custody and placement with us, so BM sees her son whom she calims to love more than anything once a week and every other weekend or on average she sees him 5 days out of the month or 60 days out of the year. SO BM told my DH that she was going away at the end of the month and if he could get their son on sat night and keep him sunday, which this is her weekend that she is giving up, I just can not wrap my brain around how she can give up time with her son who she claimed to love soooo much and refused over her dead body to have her son be with me and she has to know that if her son is with his dad then he is with me too!! So anyway I can not get over that she would give up a day and a night with her son when she sees him so little as it is. What do you guys think? Why do I care if she gives up days, it only proves my point that she did not want her son, she fought in court to keep him from me and in hopes she would get CS, which she now has to pay us so she shut her home phone off because she told my husband she can not afford it. Did I mention that she is going to a NASCAR race and that is why she is giving up time with her son and it is not like the tickets are free!!!!

I can be a real b**** and anytime someone ever calls me one...I say thank you! But since she wants to play that game with you and your husband....have him say " sure, I'll gladly take SS off your hands, would like me to keep him until he graduates from highschool or college?"

Our BM used to do it all the time. You can force her, but is that what is best for the kids? They always claim to love them sooooo much, they wouldn't be able to be the "victim" if they didn't.

If we were ever able to get custody, I can see the exact same thing happening.

Our BM sees SS13 the same amount your BM does. Our schedule was put in place in October last year and at the start of this year BM told us she wanted to cut out the extra day during the week and only have him EOW. I can't understand it either. What pisses me off the most is BF and BM have 3 kids together, SS13 lives with us and SS11 and SS7 live with BM. BF sees the other boys EOW and every Friday and so he has all 3 of the brothers together once a week where as BM only has all 3 boys together every 2nd weekend for only Sat and Sun and we have to pick SS13 up Sunday evening but when it's our weekend we have the boys from Friday after school till Sunday evening and then SS13 stays with us and only the other 2 go to there mothers.

It's mother like these that shouldn't be allowed to have kids as far as I'm concerned.

Why is that arrangement that way Dani1081, it seems sad that SS13 knows that his BM does not want him as much as she wants the other 2. How did this come about. As for my SS BM I can not believe that this sounds typical, what is wrong with these people that they can go so long without seeing their child. I am glad she stopped being a freak but and has not taken us back to court again, however, I would not give up one minute with my child if I only saw them 60 days out of the year, anything else can wait!!!

BF has SS 80 days out of the year and it's a constant battle against BM who is always trying to find ways to cheat BF out of his time with SS. If I were BM I would be thankful that I had an ex who cared enough to fight for his child, tries to see him as much as possible and has the ability to take him on fun trips when I do not. BM's only agenda is to keep SS from BF as much as possible Even now she's trying to twist around the days over the summer and asking BF if he would pick up SS Friday mornings instead of Thursday nights because of things SS is doing over the summer. She says she wants to have time to hang out with SS before he is off to his father's. She has him 26 days out of the month! What more does she want?

I just don't understand.

I agree with you Nymh but our cases our different. Our BM is the one not wanting to see her son when she only gets him 60 days out of the year. I wish you the best of luck, because I agree one should be happy to have a great dad who wants to see his child, never give up!!!

our BM has the kids only 2 days a week now by her choice and is still trying to get out of it every chance she gets. I have no idea how she does it...I miss my boy after only a day or two away and the same goes for my stepsons. I hate when they go anywhere! She is going to go 20 days without seeing them this coming month because it is too inconvenient for her to drive 2 hours just to see them for a day! I have driven 5 hours just to pick them up early cause they wanted to come home, but whatever! I will never understand it. My sons Bio sperm donor gave him up a long time ago and never looked back-I don't know how people do it. i am just happy I get to have all my kids as much as I do.

Unless an emergency came up, I would do ANYTHING and everything to be with my child the few days I get...
