Last night I was already frustrated when DH and SD7 got home because baby girl was having a fuss day. DH starts letting baby girl pet and pull on one of our cats, and I ask him to not do that because earlier in the day I was having a really hard time getting baby girl to be gentle with the cats so I would just like him to leave it alone. What does DH do while I'm sitting right there? Let baby girl pull on the cat!! Like he must know better and I did something wrong earlier.

Then I see SD's backpack sitting on the floor in front of the closet. I have asked and told her repeatedly that when she gets home I would like her to empty her bag so we can go over any notes and/or homework, and to empty her lunchkit for dishes. What does she do? Drop it on the floor and come into the living room to watch tv. So I'm waiting for DH to say something but I guess that's when he was too busy not listening to me. I finally say something to DH and SD does what she's supposed to do. However, instead of putting her stuff at the kitchen table like DH and I have both told her to do and agree should be done, she empties everything onto the couch and continues to watch tv. I finally freaked out and left for yoga. I couldn't be home anymore where apparently nothing I say gets heard.
